Basel Tourismus and Switzerland Tourism offer a great number of tours, allowing you to design your very own program.
Instead of taking a guided tour, you can explore Basel using tramways and busses, or travel to other destinations in Switzerland by train.
If you don't stay at a hotel in Basel and don't receive a BaselCard, you may be interested in purchasing a multi-use ticket at a tram stop.
Take one for 1 zone, 2nd class. It is valid for 6 journeys within Basel and costs 20.50 CHF. Each of the tickets is for a journey of up to 1 hour including transfers. Stamp the multi-use ticket at the tram stop each time you start a journey.
